in the child sex abuse case against jerry sandusky. >> reporter: penn state officials arrived at court this morning in harrisburg, facing personal charges connected to the jerry sandusky child sex abuse case. they are accused of lying to the grand jury, telling them assistant football coach mike mcqueary did not tell them that he witnessed sandusky having sex with an underage boy in the shower in the locker room. he told prosecutors he first heard noises coming from the shower. he said he looked in the mirror and saw sandusky behind the boy. he then went on to tell the court, quote, i believe jerry was sexually molesting him and having sexual intercourse with him. mcqueary's testimony is also being contradicted by another grand jury witness, a family friend who says on the night of the alleged abuse, mcquary told him he only heard noises. the now assistant football coach now tells prosecutors he was shocked and distraught at what he saw and left the locker room and called his father for advice. after going home to talk to his father, mcquary says his next call was to head coach joe pat

jerry sandusky. he told the court there is no question he saw sandusky abusing a young boy. manuel gallegus has the latest from the pennsylvania courthouse. >> reporter: mike mcqueary arrived at the courthouse to deliver damning testimony in the penn state sex scandal. the assistant coach told the court he saw jerry sandusky in what he called severely sexual acts in a campus shower. mcqueary said the boy was up against the wall facing the wall. his hands shoulder height on the wall and jerry was directly behind him in a very, very, very close position. jerry's hands wrapped around his waist or midsection. mcqueary testified that he didn't realize at first what he was seeing that it did feel shocking but he didn't stop it. the next day mike mcqueary says he told head coach joe paterno about the incident and made it clear what he saw was extremely sexual but he did not use the term sodomy or intercourse. he says out of respect for the coach. paterno slumped back in his chair telling mcqueary, sorry you had to see that. and that you've done the right thing. i know it's tough. mcqueary
